We spent the holiday at Doug's parent's house in Covington. This year was the first year Nick was old enough to have fireworks, so we bought him a few sparklers, snakes, pop-its and other "kid-safe" fireworks (if there is such a thing). We joined the rest of the neighborhood kids down at the lake to light off our fireworks. Nick sure had fun with his first real 4th of July.

Nick's also sporting the red, white & blue!

The patience ran out and we let him
light a few during the day
